Chapter One

General Comments:

This is a very simple 48 inch square wall hanging. starI sent the pattern to a close friend that had never done any quilting - she was able to make it without asking a single question!

She chose a very dark poinsettia Christmas print, a solid like red, and an off-white tone on tone background fabric. This quilt won a 1st place ribbon at the Bridgewater Fair in Connecticut!! star
starAll seam allowances are ¼ inch. Press seam allowances to the darkest side whenever possible -or- press all seams open. Yardage does not include batting or backing fabric.click here

Wash, dry and iron all fabrics. Prepare for cutting - fold fabrics selvage to selvage. starSmooth, bring folded edge to selvage and smooth again. Using a rotary cutter and ruler, square up fabric and trim raw edge.
